It seems that between writing about our trip to Chicago and my little sister’s b-day, only two out of the previous six posts have been about our little ladies, which is nothing short of a travesty! Never fear…I’m here to make it, erm…well…three of the previous seven.
In this grand experiment of raising our first (second and third) child, it’s safe to say that each day brings {for better or worse} its own new experiences. One of the more interesting ones we’ve shared with the girls is bath time. For the first eight months of their lives, we bathed each girl individually. At first, this process took almost an hour in their plastic little counter-top tub, but as they’ve grown and moved into the *big girl* tub, we (OK…mostly Missy) have shortened that time to less than 20 minutes.
Now that the girls have become more independent (you know…sitting up, crawling, and able to keep themselves occupied with each other), we made the decision to bathe all three of them together…at the same time. Knowing that this could end either as a huge success or a massive failure, we naturally braced ourselves for the worst…
Sadly, I was at work during the first trial, but Missy reported that it was indeed the former…and as cute as anyone could possibly imagine.
At first, the girls were just happy to be there…
…but it didn’t take long before they really started having fun…
…and sending water everywhere!
However, supermom Missy managed to get the girls and all their parts washed (while documenting the occasion at the same time…boo-ya).
But soon they began getting restless…and Rowan felt like she needed to crawl over and see what was up with Jovie.
…and things quickly spiraled out of control.
So the water was drained, and out of the tub they went…only to discuss how amazing their first bath experience together was!
Just like three little ladies after a day at the spa

I laughed out loud reading the commentaries of the photos. Great job supermom.
This is so adorable. I especially loved the individual pictures of the girls and thinking how well you named each of them. They fit. The names. What joy!
ADORABLE!
I love the picture of the 3 of them talking after their bath. So cute!!!
I know! Now, if only we could understand what they were saying…
Rubadubadua–three adorable babies in a tub!
adub that should have been!!
Super mom is right!
love it !
OH! MY! GRACIOUS! I hollared and laughed. You have no idea how much this helps with the homesickness on the east coast. You guys are the best.
