It’s true, and you heard it here first…Missy and I are expecting!
With news of such monumental proportions, we felt that some further explaination is necessary, as I’m sure there are a ton of questions that you have for us! So without further ado, I give you Q & A with the Hardinge’s:
Q. Was it a surprise?
A. Yes, we were both surprised! Shocked, but pleasantly surprised.Q. Is there more than one?
A. Nope, just one this time! We’ve already had a few appointments complete with sonograms, all confirming that our baby is a singleton.Q. How far along/When is Missy due?
A. Missy is entering her 13th week of the pregnancy, which puts the official birthdate on or around May 13th. Yep, you read that right…baby #4 is due mere days before Sienna, Rowan, and Jovie turn two years old.Q. Will you find out the sex?
A. Yes! At this point, we figure that the more we are prepared for now, the better off our family we will be later. We’ve had enough surprises to last a lifetime![]()
Q. How is Missy feeling?
A. You mean other than “still in shock and awe”? Exhausted (but what do you expect when you’re pregnant, teaching, always chasing after three toddlers, and building a house?). Otherwise? Better. It was not so much the morning sickness as it was the evening nausea that really did her in for a good part of September and October. Now, other than a lingering cold that the girls have passed on, Missy is in good health and good spirits. Pray that it stays that way!Q. Are you adding a fifth room to the new house?
A. No, the plans have long-since been finalized, plus it’s not really in the budget right now. However, there is a huge full-height basement, which we fully intend expanding into in the future.Q. Your car is only a five-seater…what’s your plan there?
A. Well, since the whole fam won’t be able to fit into the ol’ Alty at once anyway, I figured that I might as well trade it in for something a little more sporty…like a Mini. {I kid.}
So there you have it! We feel so incredibly blessed to have this opportunity to experience a “normal” singleton pregnancy and birth. Although I’m not sure how normal a house with four children two years old and under will ever be. Nonetheless, next summer is shaping up to be another wild one for the Hardinge Five…err…Hardinge Six(!!)…one that we can’t wait to share with you!

So happy for you guys! I wish all the best in the Hardinge family’s newest adventure!! Who knows… if you guys keep it up you may get you own show! LOL!
Oh gosh. The last thing we need is a camera crew following us around 24/7…
Whoop! So fun and exciting. Thanks for sharing with us! Can’t wait to find out what it is
You and me both
Awww I can’t stop smiling! Even though I asked all these questions to you last night, I couldn’t help but read them again.
We were so glad to talk to you last night!
Soooo great to catch up with you guys too!! It’s been way too long…so happy to hear that everyone is doing well
FROM SCRUBS: “repeat after me….boy boy boy, very tall boy….”
