Turns out, cribs really aren’t that hard to assemble once you have all the pieces. And instructions, for that matter.
After our mishap with the original crib, we finally brought home what we had hoped was a new (as in: unused, in a box not previously opened) crib. All reports state Target was actually really helpful with the return…but I like to think that was only because Mama Florer went with Missy to make and help smooth over the exchange.
So you can bet that Missy and both breathed a sigh of relief upon cutting open the box and seeing this…
…as opposed to this:
Needless to say, 45 minutes later (having all the proper pieces and a legitimate set of instructions), the crib was completed.
Yes, the nursery is actually looking like a nursery now, like…for babies…as opposed to the guest bedroom/man lair that it used to be. The only big items remaining to complete the ensemble would be our combo changing table/dresser and rocking chair for feeding. So for the time being, we’ve stashed the bouncy seats and car seats in the baby room as well.
Three of everything can be a little overwhelming to take in all at once, so Missy and I chose to have a little fun with it while we still can:
And as for my aforementioned man lair…well, I just have to make do with the space we have…
…but it’s totally worth it.
