Despite the Spring-like reprieve mother nature gave central Iowa last week, the sky has once again turned gray, and snow spin drifts danced across the highway on my way home from work Monday evening. Yes, she has all too abruptly reminded us that there is still a month left of winter…even though spring fever has hit us hard and left us yearning for t-shirts, flip-flops, and evening walks outdoors with the girls.

Yet as much as we want the warm weather to be here, we feel that the days are already moving too fast for our liking. If we can’t beat the cold weather, we might as well embrace it…right? So before all the snow melted away, we bundled the girls up and took them outside to snap a few pics that captured the spirit of the season. This is, after all, still the girls first winter.
There was Rowan…
And Sienna…but, naturally, Rowan didn’t think she was quite finished playing outside:
Anyway, as I was saying: …and Sienna.
Ugh…those eyes are gonna melt (and break) hearts…mainly: mine.
And how about those sweaters? Great-Grandma Peg Fredregill made them for the girls, you know…in her spare time. Sooo awesome…aren’t they amazing?! As you can see, they are hand-knit, hooded, and have a full zip up the back for easy-on and easy-off (as an parent can tell you, a must). Holy cow, I totally wish that I had one of these now!
For serious…we’re trying to convince her to make more so that she could sell them on an Etsy website we’d set up for her. Wouldn’t she make bank?! We’re thinking $40-$50, easily. What do you think?
Aaaaanyway…I digress. That was our winter fun day. The snow is gone, but they say more is on the way…lets hope it doesn’t stick around very long. We are SO ready to be back outside…
