Status: Sick.

•••••

As you can probably tell…the last 48 hours have not been very fun on the Florer farm. The entire house has been virtually wiped out by a nasty stomach flu, which has had a rampant cascading effect from the grandparents on down the line. I even attempted going in to the office yesterday morning, but after 45 minutes of the shaky cold sweats at my desk, I called it quits and came right home to spend the day in bed deliriously watching daytime television (seriously, does Ellen always give something away? And come’on Alex Trebek…why do you have to sound so smug when a contestant gets the “question” wrong? You’re not fooling anybody…you have all the answers right in front of you!).

Fortunately, there has at least been one of us well enough at all times to care for the girls, who {amazingly} have dodged the worst of it. However, currently it’s Missy who is taking her turn with the crud. Being pregnant and sick with the flu while caring for Rowan, Jov, & Sienna has pushed her to her limits. She deserves some sort of award…

Please, please, pray with us that healing and good health return quickly to our household!

Sidenote 1) Yes, we’ve finally started to feel kicks {flutters} from baby #4…so exciting!

Sidenote 2) Aunt Shannon turned 21 on Tuesday! Aack…Missy and I feel soooooo old! Let me just say that the first full summer I spent out in Iowa, I attended her elementary school graduation! Who could have imagined then where we all are now? Happy {belated} birthday Shannon 🙂

    • Thankfully, we’re all on the mend today. But be careful, something is most definitely going around. It only lasts a day, it just that having four adults all getting it at different times has really made things a lot worse. Not fun!

  1. Oh Tommy! Glad to hear all are on the mend. At least it is early in the month, so all should be good for the next few weeks and all of you will enjoy a healthy Christmas! Love yo all!

Ps Uncle Larry is sick with the “grip/cold symptoms” so I ran out and bought lots of cold prevention meds for me…hope it works!
