Adventures in Energy Savings

If Wednesday’s post featured one of the best looking buildings on the east side, this has clearly become one of the worst:

I would just love to know what was going through the minds of the “Motel 8” management when they approved this idea. Granted, I’ve heard that shrink-wrapping old windows in the winter helps cut down on energy costs, and I’m all for that…but wrapping an entire building in plastic? That’s a new one.

Nailed it.

Hey, maybe it really does help? Or maybe it’s not for energy savings after all… Any other ideas out there as to why this building is completely covered in plastic?

  1. Hummm…stink bug barrier? No, they should be sleeping by now. Really, really drafty in there? I got it! They want to make sure it’s not dusty Christmas morning!
