3-2-1…Cake!

Dessert lovers and cake aficionados, unite! Here is another fantastically simple recipe that will change your life forever…seriously.

So run as fast as you can and grab the following ingredients:

  1. One box of Angel Food Cake Mix
  2. One box of your favorite cake mix (can be anything…Missy prefers Yellow Cake)
  3. Water
  4. Frosting

First things first: thoroughly blend the two boxes of cake mix in a large resealable container (like Tupperware).

Now, making your single serving creation is as simple as counting backwards from three:

3 – Tablespoons Cake Mix Mixture
2 – Tablespoons Water
1 – Minute in the microwave

That’s it! Combine your dry goods with the water in a microwave-safe container; we prefer to use coffee mugs ;-).

Then zap it on high for one minute, and voilà!

The result? A piping hot single-serving of cake ready to be devoured…just add a dollop of your favorite frosting and enjoy! It’s the perfect serving size for kids and adults alike.

Oh, then be sure to stash your tupperware container full of cake mixed goodness somewhere easily accessible; you’ll be reaching for that puppy again before you know it!

Missy and I were skeptical at first too, but trust me: this really works! And without the eggs and oil, you can practically call this healthy cake…right? Ok, so maybe not quite healthy, especially depending on the amount of frosting you add…but you get the idea!

Still don’t believe us? Try out 3-2-1 cake for yourself!

{And once you do, make sure you let us know how it turned out… AND let us what type of cake you used so we can try it out as well!}

  1. My grandma told me about this about a year ago. Her variation includes mini chocolate chips. When you mix it up the chips go to the bottom and melt so if you flip it over out of the coffee cup your little cake has frosting 🙂 yum!
