If you’ve been following this blog for any period of time, you’re probably well aware of how great a photographer my sister Hannah is. She’s taken our family portraits every year since the girls were born, and Miss & I have no intentions of ending that streak any time soon (family pics from Sandbridge coming soon!). So you know as well as I do that whoever Chris and Han chose as their wedding photographers had to be amazing as well, right?
As I mentioned last Monday, Double Shutter Photography (based in Hagerstown, MD) was selected for the dubious task of taking pictures for a photographer’s wedding. Late last week Hannah’s wedding gallery was published online and boy, let me tell you right now: Jason and Erica did not disappoint! Seriously you guys…go now and see for yourselves!! Well…after you read this, of course 😉
With over 1,100 pictures posted, it’s been hard to choose a favorite…but we’ve been trying! Here are a few that I feel sum up the day perfectly.
There was the ceremony…outdoors and “in the round,” complete with a curtain entry way. So perfect!
The groomsmen and bridesmaids (all lifelong friends of the couple) were done up to the nines…
And after a fantastic homily by our favorite pastor Aunt Melissa (how cool is that, btw??)…
…the wedding party processed out and made way for the pictures!
Can you believe Grandma Mona HANDMADE the flower girl dresses?!
…and dancing. Lots and lots of fun, hot, schweaty dancing.
We ended the night with a song request from the bride and groom…a favorite of theirs which sent everyone away with a huge grin on their faces. Missy even captured most of it on video!
That song was stuck in my head for the entirety of beach week…and that’s not a bad thing. I can’t help smiling as I watch, even with the awkward movie line break ‘n all. We freakin’ love our family. (Here is the actual song & video for those interested 😉 )
Seriously though. That’s what…30 pictures? Maybe?? There are literally hundreds upon hundreds more! You need to drop everything and go check them all out here, like we’ve been doing for the past five nights. Try and pick out a favorite for yourselves 😀
And for realz…congrats again to both Aunt Hannah and Uncle Chris. Your big day was off the hook.
(I did not take any of these pictures. All photo credits again go to Double Shutter. They got crazy skillz…folks in the the Mid-Atlantic area need to check them out for your next event!)
