A Blogworthy Tale

What would you do if your three-year-old daughter found a stick that looked like this…

…then pointed it at her sisters…

…and then you like this…

…and growled “BAAAAAAHHHHH!”over and over again while simultaneously laughing histerically?

I, as any warm blooded male would have, assumed that somewhere, somehow she saw someone mimicking gun play. A cartoon? A show that Missy and I accidentally had on?

Where? Who?

So I asked her rather sternly, “Rowan, what are you doing?!”

“Blow-dryin’ your hair, Daddy!”she laughed, clueless to my concern. “BAAAHHHHHH!

I guess It’s safe to say that society has successfully scared the presumption of innocence right out of me. It’s good to know that she’s still just a naive three-year-old, and that she’s definitely still all girl. Buuuuut…just to avoid further confusion in the future, Missy picked these up at a yard sale last weekend 😉

In other news, a colony of honeybees moved into a knotty pine tree across the street…the girls are waaaaay into watching all the action near the hive, making sure that they know the bees are collecting nectar to carry back to their home make honey. They also make sure that we know that they know not to go too close.

Thanks, Grandpa Steve!

Sienna Gpa Bees

Plus I just really love that picture of Sienna and G-Pa 😉

And in other, other news…Monday Musings will return regularly again eventually, I promise. We’ve just been extremely busy here this past week (month? summer?), more-so lately even by Hardinge Six standards. Once everything settles down we’ll be back with more…not that things ever really settle down in our lives!
