February: a time for conversation hearts, rose bouquets, and Daddy Daughter Dances!
We had to miss last year’s dance due to a round of coughs and colds in the Hardinge home. Even though I made it up to them by taking them each on their own date night with Daddy, we still had never experienced a true one-on-one…well, one on four…Daddy Daughter Dance until just this year. So here’s a look back at the whole experience by the (mostly made-up) numbers 😀
Flowers Missy used in crafting four tiny homemade corsages:
At least a dozen.
Trips to Goodwill and Once Upon a Child to find four perfectly coordinating (but not matching) dresses for the big night:
Two. (I know, right?!)
Pictures taken before leaving the house:
But oh so worth it 😉
Attempts needed to get an “action” picture before shoving my phone away in my pocket for good and just enjoying the moment:
Times asked to wait in line to see a Princess before I finally conceded…
Cupcakes consumed even though they probably shouldn’t have had that much sugar so late in the evening…
Attempts needed to get just one more posed picture on our way out, despite being well past the witching hour…
…way too many. That was the best we could manage with all four of them in the frame…it about sums up how our night went 😉
Number of chances you get at a first Daddy Daughter Dance:
Hopefully the girls had just as much fun as I did!
